Accessibility Statement

McNab Ridge Winery wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. This page describes what we have done, what we know still needs work, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

Last updated: September 17, 2026.

Our approach

Accessibility is built into the site itself. We do not use an accessibility overlay, widget or add-on toolbar. The fixes live in the site’s code and content, so they work with the assistive technology you already use and its own settings.

What we have done

  • Structure. Every page has one main heading, headings run in order, and the header, navigation, main content and footer are marked up as landmarks so you can jump between them.
  • Keyboard. Everything you can do with a mouse you can do with a keyboard. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page. The menu, its submenus and the homepage slideshow can be opened, moved through and closed from the keyboard, and the item that has focus is always visibly outlined.
  • Motion. The homepage slideshow has a pause button, and it does not auto-play if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Contrast. Text and buttons meet the WCAG minimum contrast ratio of 4.5 to 1 against their backgrounds.
  • Images. Images that carry information have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Links. Links that open a new tab or point to a PDF say so to screen readers.
  • Forms. Form fields have visible labels, and errors are announced next to the field they belong to.
  • Zoom and text size. Pages can be zoomed to at least 200 percent and reflow at phone width without sideways scrolling.
  • Documents. The technical sheets on our Trade page are tagged PDFs with real text. Where an older event flyer exists only as an image, we put its text on the page beside it.

Conformance status

The pages we build and maintain ourselves are designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We checked every one of those pages on September 17, 2026, with the axe-core automated testing engine and with manual keyboard testing in Google Chrome. No WCAG A or AA failures remained on those pages when the check finished.

Known limitations

  • Online shop, cart, checkout, wine club and reservations. These pages are delivered by Commerce7, a third-party e-commerce platform. We style them to match the site but we do not control their code, so we cannot promise they meet the same standard. If you have trouble ordering online, call us and we will take your order by phone.
  • Third-party services. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, and some pages embed content from other websites. Those services are governed by their own accessibility practices.
  • Older documents. Some flyers and documents produced before 2026 may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will provide the information in another form.

Tell us if something is not working

If any part of this site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please contact us. Tell us the page you were on and what happened, and we will get back to you within five business days.
